Transplant Services

Once a patient is placed on a waiting list for a transplant, we recommend that you contact us immediately regarding medical air transport to the waiting hospital. Please do not wait until you are told that an organ has been located. Be as prepared as possible in advance so that there is no delay in getting the patient to the hospital.

Call us in advance. Our Case Managers and Flight Coordinators will take all of the necessary information and keep it on file. When you get the call, weeks, months or even years later, we will have all of the information at our fingertips and can quickly – often given just a two- to three-hour window – schedule a plane and flight crew, medical crew and complete all ground transportation logistics. Our Flight Coordinators are available by phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In the unlikely event that none of our extensive fleet of planes is available at the specific time required, we will work with you to find an alternative company. We strongly advise you to have a list of three or four companies besides U.S. Air Ambulance that could be contacted as a back-up.

To be fully prepared, we suggest the following:

  • Keep a suitcase packed and ready so you can leave on a moment’s notice.
  • Discuss with us the pickup location and test your route ahead of time.
  • Keep your credit card open so funds will be available when you get the call that the organ is available.
  • Do not schedule a trip without comprehensive preplanning.

Our goal is to provide life-saving services to people and their families.

Please call 1-800-948-1214 or send an email to info@usairambulance.net today for specific information to help arrange the logistics of your organ transplant. Our Flight Coordinators and Case Managers are available to help you 24 hours a day, 52 weeks a year.
